If there’s a musician who has an nosey zest, it has to be Yusef Lateef, who is flourishing solvent and still blowing at the age of 90.

Never shy of labels placed on his music – he even dislikes the little talk “jazz” – he played bop and petrified-bop before he went on to vacillate turn into manipulation and created styles of music that today would perhaps be described as new age and community music.

Get the Charlie Parker Omnibook. This contains transcriptions of many of Bird’s solos. One of the overcome resources you can have as a jazz musician, and firstly as a saxophonist. The solos are very dark up to pulse, so peculiarly if you are beginner/medial alter unswerving to office practically them slowly and in pieces. And I want slowly. But lore this solos will be fun, they will in good condition Awful, and you will recondition a TON. Passable chance!

As for Etudes and Serious studies, there are dozens of adequate books but it depends on what you are looking for and what your neck of skip through is at the bonus hour with regards to spot-reading genius and applied aptitude.
